“Nigeria Will Shock The World In Russia” – Kanu Nwankwo

Retired Nigerian legendary footballer, Kanu Nwankwo, has
opened up on Super Eagles chances in the 2018 FIFA World
Cup which will hold in Russia in few weeks time.
With nine days to the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup,
Nigeria legend Nwankwo Kanu is supremely confident the
Super Eagles will shock the world in Russia.
The two-time African Footballer of the Year told the UK Mirror
after an exhibition game in Kaliningrad Russia that the Eagles
were primed for success, expressing total confidence in the
ability of the current squad to excel at the Mundial.
He admitted that Nigeria was pooled in a difficult group which
has Argentina, Iceland and Croatia but the Eagles had the
capacity to emerge from the trickish section.
“The FIFA World Cup is the greatest football tournament on
the planet; every team dreams of being part of it and I am
sure it will be a very special event in Russia for every team
participating in it.
“For Nigeria, I know we are in a very difficult and trickish
group but we will be a big surprise, for sure,” Kanu said.
